Lightning: She is the center all attention in trailers presented on E3 2006 and Tokyo Gameshow, and rumors says that Lightning is going to be the protagonist of Final Fantasy XIII.
She uses a sword which structure allows to change from a simple sword in a gunblade. It was clearly visible on video shown at E3 2006. She also has ability to carry out the gravitational attacks, using small grey buttons on her fingers. She uses this ability in E3 2006 trailer when quickly changing stage of battle.
Lightning is high-ranking soldier (the rank, it is designated by arrows on her shoulder), and lives in the huge ship, a place named Cocoon. The history behind of her is shrouded by secret, even her own name stands under doubt.
Theory:
I belive that this red cape that Lightning has on her back has something to do with
Final Fantasy Agito XIII. I mean... look at the Final Fantasy Agito XIII students -- all of them wear this
red cape, just the same as Lightning. So I was thinking about a probability of a
close relationship between both, that maybe lightning studied there or someone
gave it to her. All FFXIII games are supposed to be on the same world, so
that means more to this theory.
Mr. 33 cm: Mr. 33cm has received this nickname because of the size of his leg. Untill now this character remains a riddle. He first showed at the Jump Fiesta. His brightly light hair reminds Seifer's from Final Fantasy VIII. Rumors says that the Blond guy (Mr. 33cm) is going to be Lightning's bodygard.
